First Coronavirus Death From Burbank Reported
Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed Burbank's first publicly noted coronavirus death.
BURBANK, IL — A 72-year-old Burbank woman died March 24 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The Cook County Medical Examiner said the woman died of acute respiratory failure due to a coronavirus infection. High blood pressure and cardiovascular disease were cited as contributing factors.

The medical examiner's office confirmed five additional COVID-19 infection deaths, bringing the total to 13 in Cook County, and 19 deaths statewide. As of March 25, 1,865 coronavirus cases were reported across Illinois.
