Free Student Meals Available Through Summer Program

Meals are available to families with children under age 18; participants are not required to be Oak Lawn Community High School students.

In partnership with Country House Kitchens, OLCHS is excited to announce our involvement with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Summer Food Service Program. The pilot program will begin on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. Free meals will be available for curbside pick-up from 10:00AM to 1:00PM Monday through Thursday. Each daily meal packet will include breakfast, lunch, snack, and beverage items. The meals will be distributed at Oak Lawn Community High School from the Performing Arts Center/Door #14. Please enter the South Parking Lot from Austin Avenue.

The meals are available to families with household children under age 18. Participants are not required to be OLCHS students nor do children need to be present at the pick-up.

Please come and enjoy Country House’s signature “from scratch” cooking along with other fun snack items to help brighten your summer.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was instituted to provide nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
