Frosh Charlie Dell Makes Mark On OLCHS Boys Varsity Bowling Team
Freshman Charlie Dell steps up to knock down pins for Oak Lawn Community High School boys varsity bowling team.

OAK LAWN, IL — He may only be a freshman, but when Oak Lawn Community High School boys bowler Charlie Dell saw an opportunity to move up to the varsity team early this season, he reached out and grabbed it. And his performance on the lanes played a role in the Spartans winning their second-consecutive South Suburban Conference Red Championship last week.
Dell boasted an average of 187 pins per game this season. His contributions gave the Spartans quite a boost as the regular season ended.
“Charlie stepped into the varsity starting lineup the first match of the season and hasn’t looked back,” said OLCHS head bowling coach Kevin Walery. “This is no small feat for a freshman, but Charlie was up for the challenge. He has helped the team tremendously, and he has been an integral part of our repeat SSC Red Championship. Keep up the great work, Charlie. The best is yet to come from this Spartan.”
