Homecare Consultant Hid Camera to Record People in Restrooms: Prosecutors
Prosecutors said man used hidden camera to record co-workers in work restroom, and family member having sex in shower.

A 56-year-old home care consultant from Orland Park was arrested on charges that he used a hidden camera to spy on coworkers using the restroom and a family member having sex with her boyfriend at home.
Dennis Johnson appeared in court Wednesday afternoon after being arrested on four counts of unauthorized video taping.
Cook County prosecutors said Johnson hid a “pinhole” camera at his workplace that pairs home care workers with patients in their homes, where he recorded two female co-workers using the restroom.

He also is also alleged to have used the camera at home to secretly record a family member engaged in sexual activity with her boyfriend. When the encounter moved to the shower, prosecutors said Johnson moved the camera to the bathroom to continue his secret recording.
According to the charges, police found a memory card in the camera where forensic evidence indicated that some of the images had been downloaded to Johnson’s laptop. An online sales receipt for the purchase of a pinhole camera was also found on the man’s laptop.

Johnson scored 4 out of 25 on a risk assessment evaluation because he had only lived at his current address for 10 months. His wife has also started divorce proceedings since the allegations were made, the assistant public defender said.
Cook County Judge Peter Felice set bail at $20,000. Johnson was also ordered not to have contact with the co-workers, his stepdaughter and her boyfriend.
The judge also granted the assistant public defender’s request to allow Johnson to live with his mother in Indiana while the case is under way.
