Hospital Kitchen Employee Kicks Pregnant Co-Worker in Stomach: Cops
The employee accused co-worker of having an affair with her man, police said.

A hospital kitchen employee was arrested after she kicked a pregnant co-worker in the stomach during work, reports said.
Oak Lawn police responded to a report of two employees fighting around 11:34 a.m. May 15, at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
According to the report, the manager was working the line when she saw the worker, later identified as Mykia Chandler, walk over to her co-worker’s station. A few minutes later, the co-worker looked at her manager and asked to have Chandler removed from her area.

Chandler alleged punched her co-worker in the face. The manager said as employees were trying to separate the woman, Chandler kicked co-worker in the stomach, police said.
Police spoke to the co-worker, who said that Chandler accused the co-worker of bumping her. Chandler then picked up a plate and threw it at her head, hitting her in the forehead, reports said.

Before the altercation, police said that another employee stated that Chandler accused her co-worker of having an affair “with my man.” The employee said Chandler walked up to the woman and punched her in the face.
Police said hospital staff checked out the woman, who did think her baby was injured by the kick to her stomach. The co-worker also had a bruise on her forehead where she was hit by the plate.
Chandler was charged with battery.
