IHSA Recognizes 44 Oak Lawn Athletes For Academic Performance
Oak Lawn Community High School junior and senior athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher received academic achievement awards.

OAK LAWN, IL — The Illinois High School Association recognized several Oak Lawn Community High School fall athletes for their performance both on and off the field. Junior and senior athletes who have completed at least one full season in an IHSA sport and maintained a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher earned the award:
- Boys golf recipients included Christian Richter and Shane Mulcahy.
- Ahmad Amra, Jakub Haberny, Abel Herrera, Tristan Kramarz, Adam Kwak, David Morales, Cristian Morales-Reyes, and Dylan Walsh were the boys soccer recipients.
- Boys cross country award winners were Hamzah Abdeljaber, Leo Chavez, Andrew Leon, Christian Orozco, and Kyle Rzepka.
- In football Nykolas Arellano, Emeen Hamad, Erhan Osmani, and Hamid Sharfi earned the honor.
- Jacquelin Canales, Kaitlyn Casey, and Raquel Enriquez in girls golf earned the honor.
- A host of award recipients in girls tennis included Alexa Quintana, Yasmine Abdelghani, Rizan Ali, Elizabeth Concannon, Yumn Elameer, Emily Gregory, Eliza Janik, Jessica Komperda, Madyson Lane, Mia Wendt, and Avery Wessel.
- Kaitlyn Berkery, Kailey Dykema, Maeve Hassett, Amina Maali, Emma McAuliffe, Rihana Osmani, and Hailey Wierzgac were recognized in girls volleyball.
- Girls Swim and Dive recipients were Amelia Fudala, Alessandra Gabriel, and Mya Orozco.
- And in girls cross country the award winners were Salma Bonilla, Nadine Taha, Layeal Yahia, Hadeel Yasin, Isabel Abarca, Dunia Daifallah, Anna Driscoll, Andrea Midnight, and Arlene Villagomez.
