Illumination: A Christmas Trees & Lights Extravaganza

Join the Friends of the Oak Lawn Library on a holiday trip to the Morton Arboretum

Celebrate the holidays with the Friends of the Oak Lawn Public Library during a visit to the Morton Arboretum on Thursday, Dec. 8, to see the spectacular, dazzling tree light display. During this late afternoon walk, you’ll marvel at the beautiful LED lights and get the chance to interact with the exhibit. Hug a tree to make it glow brighter, sing and watch it change colors, or swipe your hand to make it glimmer. Enjoy a cozy fire, hot chocolate and various other displays – especially one in which lights are synced to music performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The group will also enjoy an early buffet at History of Sawa's Old Warsaw Restaurant and conclude the night with a narrated driving tour of the Rosemont holiday lights, known as the best display in the Chicagoland area. Max: 55. Departs: 2:30pm. Returns: 8:30pm. Cost: $74 for members and $79 for non-members. In-person registration at the Library: Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9:30-10:30am. For more information about this and other adult programs, call 708-422-4990 or visit www.olpl.org.
