Junior Katie Casey Leads Oak Lawn Spartan Girls Golf Team

OAK LAWN, IL — Three years ago, as a freshman, Katie Casey made her debut on the golf course for Oak Lawn Community High School’s girls golf team. Even back then, she showed signs of being something special as she continued to improve every match. Now a junior, it is no surprise that she is the varsity leader for the Spartans.

Casey had the lowest average on the team all season and was consistently the number-one golfer on the team.

“Katie led our team throughout the season and was always willing to help her teammates,” OLCHS head coach Kate Mellone said. “Katie was always looking to improve and get better during the season. We cannot wait to see what Katie brings to her senior year golf season.”
