The teachers on the positive behavior committee, along with the rest of the staff transformed Kolb into an ocean, with decorations and motivating sea-themed messages all over.
They held a kick off assembly on Thursday, August 20, where the book “Rainbow Fish,” a story about sharing and friendship, was read to the whole student body.

Teachers were introduced, with each grade level wearing a different color of the rainbow to correlate with the story.
Staff gave a great message to the kids, setting a positive tone for the school year. Students were taught expected behaviors in parts of the building such as the hallway, with the help of P.B.I.S. “Cool Tools.”
If the first week is any indication of how the rest of the year is going to be, this school year is going to be “fin-tastic!”
