Lamia Quinones Brings Sprinting To New Level For OLCHS Girls Track
Oak Lawn Community High School's Lamia Quinones has posted top times in in the 400-meter, the 300-meter and the 4x100-meter relay team.

OAK LAWN, IL — Lamia Quinones is fast. She can simply sprint and sprint for a long time. No lead is big enough for competitors if she is running the final leg of a relay or closing in down the stretch of a race. She is likely going to catch that leader.
This season she is sprinting to new levels for the Oak Lawn Community High School girls track team. Quinones has already run top times in the 400-meter (1:02), the 300-meter low hurdles (:51.55) and is a vital member of the 4x100-meter relay team.
“Lamia is a stand-up teammate and a role model to other members of the team, from dancing and having fun before a race, all the way to the end when she is running down the other competitors as the anchor in the 4x400-meter relay,” head coach Brian Fiene said. “Our coaching staff is proud of what Lamia has accomplished, and any athlete would be proud to call Lamia a teammate.
