Landlord Accused of Swinging Hammer on Renter's Belongings Refuses to Talk to Police: Warrant
Arrested warrant issued for 60-year-old Oak Lawn woman who allegedly destroyed tenant's belongings with a hammer.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Oak Lawn police sought a warrant for a landlord who allegedly destroyed her tennant’s property with a hammer.
A detective told the judge that Donna Howard, 60, owned a home that she was renting out in 9100 block of South Komensky Avenue in Oak Lawn. When she went to removed some of her own personal items from the house, something angered her so she got a hammer and began destroying her tenant’s belongings.
The tenant told police that Howard damaged the family’s belongings in front of the family’s two young children. The prosecutor said later that ownership of the items damaged was up for dispute.

The detective stated he’s talked to Howard on the phone several times, but she refuses to come in and talk to police.
The judge issued a $1,000 arrest warrant for criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
