NEW! The Conservation Foundation is seeking Naturalists to lead outdoor education and recreation
programs for a wide variety of ages and audiences. Programs will take place at schools and
natural areas throughout the TCF service area, with a focus on Kane and DuPage Counties. This
position is permanent, part-time with highly variable hours, and year-round, and is part of a
fun, enthusiastic and passionate team of outdoor education professionals at The Conservation
Foundation.

Candidates should demonstrate a genuine passion for outdoor education and enthusiasm for
working with people. Bachelor’s degree in environmental education, natural sciences, or
related field, with at least 2 years’ experience and skills in interpretation or education
preferred. Must have some knowledge or experience pertaining to wildlife, natural history, and
local flora and fauna. Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s license. Schedule and number of hours
will vary depending on the season and programs booked, so must have a flexible schedule and
be available to work during the school day. Rarely, programs will occur evenings and
weekends. Occasional programs in the summer. Must love working outdoors in all types of
weather conditions and be able to tolerate biting and stinging insects. Stewardship activities
and hikes require the use of tools, scientific equipment, and hiking through various habitats.
Fluency in Spanish a plus.

NEW! The Bridgeview Park District is hiring a gymnastics instructor. The ideal candidate needs to be athletic but does not need to know gymnastics. Instructors will be trained by a local gymnastics academy. Gymnastics classes are held on Monday and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 7:30pm. You must be available for both days and the entire time. The park district is also looking for part-time help for the early childhood program, which runs 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Village of Evergreen Park’s Office of Citizen Services is looking for a mini-bus driver to transport seniors and adults with disabilities to medical appointments within a 5-mile radius of the village and to business appoints within village boundaries. The driver must possess a current State of Illinois CDL rated to transporting seniors and adults with disabilities. The driver must be able to drive and operated a mini-bus with no physical, mental or visual impairments (except for corrective lenses). Hours are Thursday and Friday, 7.5 hours per shift, limited to 22.5 hours per week. David’s Bridal has several openings at its Oak Lawn store, although a store associate mentioned a possible move in October to the new Evergreen Market Place. The bridal salon is currently has part-time openings for a seasonal customer service representative, wedding sales stylist, alterations customer service representative and weekend wedding sales. Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School in Chicago (Mount Greenwood) is looking for a full-time director of recruitment and admissions. This position will be the primary representative of Mother McAuley for the purpose of recruitment and admissions of prospective students and families overseeing all efforts to attract new students to Mother McAuley. The Illinois Department of Employment Securitywill be hosting hiring events around the Chicago area throughout the summer. Find an event near you or for another friend or family members.
Sen. Bill Cunningham and Rep. Kelly Burke are partnering with the Illinois Department of Employment Security will be hosting a job fair at Greater Walters AME Zion Church, 8422 Damen Ave., Chicago. The fair takes place from 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 24.
