NEW! Hilton Oak Lawn has an immediate need for front desk clerks, line cooks, restaurant and banquet servers, and a barista. The hotel is hosting a job fair where interested candidates can come in and fill out an application. Qualified candidates will be interviewed on the spot. The job fair runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 22. Hilton Oak Lawn is located at 9333 S. Cicero Ave.

NEW! The Village of New Lenox is hiring an entry-level police officer. Residency is not required. Candidates must be 21 or older, have a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and have completed at least 30 hours of coursework at an accredited college or university. The deadline to apply is 2 p.m. May 31. The New Lenox Police Department does not have a residency requirement. Read more about the application process here.

NEW! The Village of Chicago Ridge is seeking to hire part-time, seasonal public works laborers. Applications are available online or at the village hall, located at 10455 Ridgeland Ave. Application deadline is May 24.

NEW! NORCOMM 9-1-1, a consolidated, civilian staffed 9-1-1 communications center within the State of Illinois, is currently seeking applicants for a full-time 911 police/fire dispatcher in Oak Lawn. Successful applicants will become certified in LEADS and NAEMD (Priority Dispatch) EMD/CPR within 6 months of hire and maintain all necessary certifications as required. NEW! Menards in Evergreen Park has a slot for manager trainee fast-tracked to a Menards management position. The program is very structured and well defined to help prepare trainees for a career in retail management. After the three-and-a-half-month comprehensive program, trainees will be promoted to the position of assistant manager. Trainees may train at any store in their area, but should be prepared to relocate regionally. A college degree is not required. NEW! The Chicago Conservation Leadership Corps program (CCLC) is a six-week conservation service- learning experience. Selected individuals will participate on crews that will consist of 10 high school students and two adult crew leaders.

As a team, the crew will perform ecological restoration and trail maintenance projects in the Chicago Park District for six weeks. Each Friday, students will participate in field days learning about the local ecology and the environment at various sites throughout the region.

The Community Crews commence work on Monday, July 3, and will accept ONLINE applications only until May 22.

Will County Workforce Services Division Job Fair -- Area job seekers are invited to attend a weekly job fair hosted by the Workforce Services Division of Will County and the Illinois Department of Employment Security from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at the Workforce Center of Will County, 2400 Glenwood Ave., Joliet. Among the positions employers will be looking to fill are certified medical assistants, forklift operators, home care aide/homemaker, installation technician trainees, machine operators, medical receptionist, production laborers, transportation aide, warehouse material handler and warehouse workers.
