Palos Hills Police Department is looking for a part-time community service officer to perform a variety of field work in support of basic police operations. Candidates must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and acceptable driving record, 18 years old and a good moral character. Must possess a high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be able to operate personal computers and applicable software programs, be able to follow oral and written instructions, and pass a thorough background check. The position is part-time and the work schedule can involve workings days, afternoon and midnight shifts, including weekends. The current pay rate for a community service officer is $18.25 per hour. Worth Township in Alsip is looking for enthusiastic, creative summer camp counselors. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Camp counselors assist the youth commission director and day camp director in the running the day camp, Kiddie Kamp and Tween Camp programs. Ideal candidates must be able to relate to and lead children in a variety of activities, and be a role model. Worth Township in Alsip is also in need of a part-time maintenance/security person to perform maintenance, security and upkeep on the inside and outside of the Township. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Some building and vehicle maintenance experience is required. Beverly Area Planning Association is Looking for Student Interns. Spring and summer internships are open for high school juniors and seniors and college students at BAPA. Cook County Election Judges and Equipment Managers Needed for April 4, 2017 Election. Vote and earn money in the upcoming consolidated election. Election judges are $190 for the day, and equipment managers earn $340. Must be 18 and a registered voter in Cook County (register here). The driver runs a route from the university’s main campus to various off-campus sites, housing, parkings lots and classroom facilities. Route assignments and hours subject to change. Candidates must possess and maintain a safe and valid driver’s license and provide a court-purposed driver’s license abstract,. A CDL license with passenger endorsement is also required.
