Man Calls In Phony Shooting To Avoid Ticket: Warrant

Oak Lawn cop told judge that the man called 911 to report a phony shooting while stopped for a traffic violation.

OAK LAWN, IL -- An arrest warrant was issued in Oak Lawn who allegedly called 911 to report a non-existent crime. Anthony Richardson is wanted on a felony charge of disorderly conduct.

The detective told the judge that Richardson was stopped for a traffic violation on Nov. 20 in the 9100 block of South Cicero. While the officer was running Richardson’s plates, a call came over the radio of a shooting in a parking lot in Burbank.

The phone number on the 911 call reportedly matched Richardson’s plate number. The officer who stopped Richardson was also able to pick him out of a photo array, the detective testified.
