Man Choked Girlfriend, Sent Sex Video to Her Mom: COPS

Prosecutor said woman sent sister a text to call police while being restrained.

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL -- A Chicago man was arrested after he allegedly restrained his girlfriend and then choked her. He is also accused of texting a video of himself and his girlfriend having sex to her mother, prosecutors said.

Dameion Jett, 23, appeared before Cook County Judge Donald Havis on charges of aggravated domestic battery, unlawful restraint, unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon, and dissemination of explicit images without consent.

Around 3 a.m. April 24, Chicago Ridge police responded to a domestic battery call. According to the, Jett and his on-again, off-again girlfriend got into a verbal argument. Jett grabbed the woman’s arm and would not allow her to leave the room. He choked her for about 30 seconds. The two do not live together, the prosecutor said.

The prosecutor said the woman sent her sister a text to call police. When police arrived, they found ten 9mm rounds. On March 9, Jett is also said to have sent a video of himself and his girlfriend in sexual poses to her mother without her permission.

Jett has a prior conviction for unlawful use of weapon in 2015, serving a year in the Illinois Department of Corrections. He also received probation on a 2012 possession of a controlled substance conviction.

Based on his background, the judge set bail at $200,000. Jett’s next court appearance is May 8 in Bridgeview.
