'Messy Monday' Prompts Oak Lawn's Snow Parking rules
With a winter storm warning in effect, Oak Lawn residents are reminded of village's snow parking rules.
OAK LAWN, IL — A messy Monday has prompted Oak Lawn's snow parking rules to be into effect. Now is probably a good time to review Oak Lawn 's confusing snow parking rules.
When there is more than one-inch of snowfall, there is no parking on designated snow routes until snow removal operations are completed. Also, the village's odd/even ordinance is in effect.
There is no parking on even-numbered sides of the streets on even-numbered days, and no parking on odd-numbered sides on odd-numbered days. This means that on Monday, Jan. 24, you'll want to park on the odd-numbered side of the street.
Each winter storm event is unique, and includes de-icing, ant-icing, plowing or a combination of all three. Snow removal is coordinated by the Oak Lawn Public Works Department.
