No Sleeping on This Job for the Oak Lawn Girls Track Team

The girls on the Oak Lawn Community High School track and field team are preparing to put their best foot forward.

They're asking for your help to turn their dreams into reality. And you don't have to run 10 laps around the track.

Rather, you can help by supporting the Oak Lawn girls track and field mattress fundraiser event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 10-11, in the OLCHS Spartan Gym.

That's right. The gym will be transformed into a mattress showroom.

"Because of the use of the gym as the showroom and the team doing the marketing to promote the event, mattress prices will be between 30 and 60 percent off the retail price," Oak Lawn girls track coach Jeremey Cryan said in a news release.

"The goal of the fundraiser is to raise as much money as possible so the school can continue to provide the track and field athletes with materials, equipment and facilities that have made the team a competitive track and field program."
