Oak Lawn Chamber Celebrates 'Small Business Saturday' at Santa on the Green
Oak Lawn Chamber plans vendor fair, scavenger hunt free trolley rides and kids' activities at Metra Station on Nov. 26.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Shop Oak Lawn and Santa on the Green – a fun, free family event to encourage shopping local and celebrating the holiday season – will be held Saturday, Nov. 26 from noon to 3 p.m.
On Nov. 26 (as well as every day), Oak Lawn residents are encouraged to shop small for all. The money spent in the community can stay in the community to help Oak Lawn businesses grow and network. Holiday trolley rides will be available every 15 minutes (12-3pm) from Santa on the Green (94th and Cook Avenue) to the Oak Lawn Patriot Station (96th and Tulley Avenue). Free parking is open at the Patriot Station garage.

This all-community event is sponsored by the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Oak Lawn. The day’s activities include:
Santa on the Village Green, plus Reindeer, kids’ Ferris wheel and trackless train, kids’ Frozen bouncy house, choir and carolers, cookies and popcorn.

Kids’ Activities and Food at the Metra Station – Face painting provided by the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn ($5 per child), live music, caricature and balloon artists, food vendors (for sale) including:
- Fannie May – Candy
- Nothing Bundt Cakes – Bundtlets
- Pappa Franks – Gyros, Beef Sandwiches, Pop and Chips
- Smilin’ Clyde’s Hot Dogs – Hot Dogs, Tom Tom Tamales, Pop and Chips
Vendor Fair at the Oak Lawn Public Library - Check out a variety of area businesses at the vendor fair from noon to 3 p.m., plus a Scavenger Hunt and Photo Booth. Kid-friendly activities will be provided by some of the vendors. Visit these final Oak Lawn Chamber businesses at the library:

Scavenger Hunt at the Oak Lawn Public Library - Stop by the table in the Lobby to pick up instructions for the Scavenger Hunt. Once you are finished, return to the Lobby for a small surprise. Happy hunting!
Stamps, Totes & Trolleys - Collect stamps for a free canvas tote bag at the Oak Lawn Public Library (9427 S. Raymond Avenue - next to Santa on the Green) and the Patriot Station (9525 S. Tulley Avenue). Redeem stamps at either the Metra Station or the Oak Lawn Public Library. While supplies last. Trolley rides every 15 minutes between the Patriot Station and Santa on the Green!
Parking - Free parking at the Metra Station (9525 S. Tulley Avenue) and the Village Hall Municipal Lot.
Shopping Local Saves Time & Money - Shop local, support Oak Lawn businesses and make a difference in your neighborhood. That’s the message for Nov. 26 – Small Business Saturday – and all throughout the holiday season. Oak Lawn, Illinois is home to more than 1,200 different businesses.
