Oak Lawn Community High School will host its annual Fall Blood Drive on Friday, Oct. 10 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Spartan Gym.

Students must be at least 16 years old to donate, and a parent permission slip is required for students who are 16, according to an OLCHS news release. Students are encouraged to donate during their gym periods.

The high school has earned LifeSource scholarships for the past six years through blood drives like this one.

Parents and community members are also encouraged to visit a community donor center or mobile blood drive, and they can have their donations credited to Oak Lawn Community High School by mentioning the donor code OL94, according to the news release.

Individuals are eligible to donate blood every 56 days.
