Oak Lawn Community High School Shares Update On Fall Sports
The South Suburban Conference will allow practices to start Aug. 17 at the earliest.
OAK LAWN, IL — The IHSA has announced a modified schedule for the 2020-21 school year. Although the IHSA allows the fall sports of Golf, Girls' Tennis, Cross Country, and Girls' Swimming and Diving to begin on August 10th, the South Suburban Conference (SSC) will delay the start of the season to allow its member high schools time to review IDPH safety protocols and plan for how they will be implemented within each sport.
Pending final approval of a logistical plan to safely engage OLCHS students in athletic competition, the SSC will allow practices to start on August 17th at the earliest. We will announce fall sport tryout dates/times/locations as soon as they are available.
Prior to fall tryouts, all athletes need to have a current sports physical on file and complete the online sports registration. Registration link and information can be found on the OLCHS athletic website . IHSA physical forms can also be downloaded under the Files & Links section of the site.
