OAK LAWN, IL — Don't be alarmed if you see cops standing on Dunkin' rooftops Friday, May 19. They'll be up there to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.

Oak Lawn police will be participating in the annual Cops On a Rooftop event from 6 to 11 a.m. Officers will be staking out the roofs at three Dunkin' locations in Oak Lawn, including:

10301 S. Central Ave
10801 S. Cicero Ave.
8940 S. Cicero Ave.

At the annual fundraiser, customers who donate to the cause will be given a coupon for a free doughnut. Donors giving $10 or more will receive a coupon for a free coffee and a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug, while supplies last, and a coupon for a free medium coffee.

Cop on a Rooftop is one of several fundraisers held for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a collaborative effort between police departments across the nation and Special Olympics.
