Oak Lawn Fire and Police Departments Plan Open House, Oct. 21
Oak Lawn's finest and bravest host an afternoon of children's activities and demonstrations at an open house this Saturday, Oct. 21.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Oak Lawn’s finest and bravest will be hosting an open house this Saturday, Oct. 21. The open house runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Safety demonstrations and children’s activities are planned. All residents are invited.
Kids will be able to sit in police and fire vehicles to have their pictures taken. The Oak Lawn Fire Department will have child safety seat information available, along with instructions on how parents can set up appointments to have seats installed in their cars. Kids can also slide down a real fireman’s pole. The fire department will be handing out information and leading discussions on smoke alarm safety.
The Oak Lawn Police Department will be distributing child ID packets. Police officers will also be putting the village’s brave police K9s through their paces. The OLFD and OLPD open house will take place in the Oak Lawn Municipal Center parking lot located at 9446 S. Raymond Ave.
