Oak Lawn-Hometown 2016 Halloween Sex Offender Safety Map

Find out where the registered sex offenders are living in Oak Lawn and Hometown before the kids go out trick or treating.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Before kids go out trick or treating on Halloween, fall is a good time to take an inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

Oak Lawn currently has 32 registered sex offenders listed on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, 23 of whom are classified as sexual predators.

Twenty-nine are currently living in the community, one is homeless and two are incarcerated in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Roll your cursor over the pins, and you will see more information pop up, including the registered sex offender’s name, address, current age, convictions, and the age of the offender and victim at the time of the offense. Convicted sex predator and child pornographer Stephan J. Haadad, 61, who turned up in the Advocate Christ Medical Center ER in 2015, is still listed as missing, according to the state’s sex offender registry.

Haddad had given a Burbank address when he was picked up by the Burbank Fire Department for leg pain, an Oak Lawn police report said.

Timothy D. Macaluso, 49, is listed on the registry as being non-compliant. Macaluso’s last known address is 4420 W. 87th Place, Hometown.

Hometown has five sex offenders living in the community, including three that are classified as sexual predators.

Registered sex offenders are prohibited from passing out candy on Halloween. They may not appear in a Halloween costume or other child-centered holiday character, such as Santa and the Easter Bunny, in public. Registered sex offenders, however, may wear a Halloween costume in their home, according to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry.

You may want to avoid trick or treating at these houses and apartments on Halloween, or merely be aware of who’s living in your neighborhood during the rest of the year.
