During the February 24th, Board of Education meeting, the 2020-2021 D123 academic school calendar was approved. Some highlights from the calendar include:
- The school year will start with two days of staff institutes; August 17th and 18th.
- The first day of student attendance will be Wednesday, August 19th and will be a half day from 8:30-11:30 am.
- Fall Family Conferences will take place on October 15th & 16th.
- No School on November 3rd for Election Day and a Staff Institute Day.
- Students will be out of school November 23-27 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
- Winter break will start on Friday, December 23rd at 3:20 pm and students will return January 6th, 2021 at 8:30 am.
- Spring Family Conferences will take place on February 18th & 19th.
- Spring break will start on; March 22nd at 3:20 pm and students will return on March 29th at 8:30 am.
- The last scheduled student attendance day is June 4th, 2021 from 8:30am to 11:30 am.
- However, given the unpredictable nature of Illinois weather, there are five emergency days scheduled for June 7-11, 2021.
