Oak Lawn Park District Pools, Splash Pads Open On Limited Basis
Central and Centennial pools slated to open July 11 for open swim. Playgrounds and and splash pads now open.
OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn Park District pools, splash pads and playgrounds are now open, with a few exceptions. Central Pool and Centennial Aquatic Center are expected to be open for open swim on July 11. Splash pads are also opening across the village.
Playgrounds
Playgrounds are now open, capacity is limited to 50 people. Patrons must follow social distancing guidelines as well as all other applicable state guidelines. Those not playing on the equipment should wear a face mask.
Central Pool
Central Pool, 9400 S. Kenton Ave., has been open for lap swim since June 9 with a 15-person capacity. Reservations in advance are required and can be made by calling 708-857-2225. The schedule varies weekly. Total Aqua Fitness classes begin July 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

A water aerobics class will begin Saturday, July 11 from 9 to 10 a.m. Call ahead to save a spot. Face coverings are required when not in the water. Swimmers and class participants will be socially distanced in the pool.
Centennial Aquatic Center
Centennial Aquatic Center, 9401 S. Nashville Ave., is available for swim team rentals throughout the day. There is a 50-person limit. Call 708-857-2225 to make a reservation or for more information.

Splash Pads
The Centennial Park splash pad is now open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The splash pad is FREE and will remain so for the duration of the summer. It is on a timer and will turn off at 7 p.m. Patrons will not have access to the locker rooms or bathrooms.
Columbus Manor Splash Pad, 99th Street and Moody Avenue, is now open; Memorial Splash Pad, 102nd Street and Major Avenue, will be operational on or around July 8.
Capacity is limited to 50 people and patrons must follow social distancing guidelines, as well as all other applicable state guidelines. Patrons not using the splash pads must wear masks.
Open Swim
Central Pool and Centennial Aquatic Center pools are expected to open for open swim on Saturday, July 11. Both pools will have a 50-person capacity. Reservations are required for 2-hour times slots.
