Oak Lawn Public Library Hosts Fan Fest On Free Comic Book Day

The Oak Lawn Public Library will host the fifth annual fan fest uniting all fandoms of pop culture May 4 on Free Comic Book Day.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Oak Lawn Public Library will present the 5th annual Fan Fest: Fans Unite on Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The theme, Fans Unite, seeks to bring together a variety of fandoms, such as fans of games, music, sci-fi/fantasy, romance, history and sports. The day features two performances, three panels, exhibitors and two cosplay events. Children and family activities include crafts and face painting.

An after-hours BYOB trivia session will be open to those 21 years and up. Doors for trivia open at 5:30 p.m. and the event begins at 6 p.m.
