Oak Lawn Spartan Bowler Ramiro Garcia Rolls Perfect 300 Game
Oak Lawn Community High School wraps up the South Suburban Conference season with a 12-1 record.
OAK LAWN, IL — Senior Ramiro Garcia has long been a top bowler at Oak Lawn Community High School, but during his high school career, he had never rolled the perfect game. That all changed Dec. 15 in Oak Forest as he bowled 12 consecutive strikes to earn his first high school 300 game. It was his third perfect game overall.
The Spartans defeated Oak Forest, 2094-1975 in last month’s South Suburban Conference action. Garcia certainly stole the headlines with the 300-game, but junior Sam Bergamo dazzled as well. He started off his match with eight straight strikes and finished with a 267 score. Oak Lawn wrapped up the SSC season with a 12-1 record.
“It was electric at the bowling alley and nerve racking to watch him pull it off,” said head coach Kevin Walery. “Congratulations to Ramiro, and congrats to the entire bowling team.”
