Kim Braasch, a Robert Morris signee, will be starting at shortstop for the third season in a row. She is an outstanding at defensive player but even better at the top of the Spartan lineup having the ability to always make contact. She uses her speed once she is on to wreak havoc on the bases.
Rachel Burba came out of nowhere last season as a freshman to earn the starting job at second base and will be a leader for the Spartans for years to come.
Junior first baseman Tiffanie Triner developed into a force as a sophomore last year and looks to utilize her speed and consistence to take another step forward.
Coach Kelly Herlihy says: “The strength of our team will be at the top of our lineup. We have a mix of speed and power that can put pressure on the defense.”
College recruits: Kim Braasch (Robert Morris).
