OLCHS Kicks Off Prom Dress Resale This Sunday

OAK LAWN, IL — Put on your running shoes and head over to Oak Lawn Community High School for the Cinderella’s Closet prom boutique! Over 100 dresses and accessories are for sale at rock-bottom prices. The boutique is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, which gives you plenty of time to shop and get home to watch the Super Bowl.

Families can gear up for prom without spending a fortune. The boutique offers a wide variety of long and short dresses of all styles, sizes and colors, as well as unopened make-up, purses, jewelry, shoes and accessories. All dresses, many worn only once, will be sold for $10, cash sales only.

If your closet runneth over with gently used/once worn formal wear, cute purses, jewelry, shoes and accessories, you can still donate to OLCHS Cinderella’s Closet Prom Boutique. Donations are being accepted through Friday, Jan. 31, at the OLCHS Business Office in Room 123, 9400 Southwest Highway. (Please use the Southwest Highway entrance.)

Last year, more than 200 dresses and 40 pairs of shoes were available. Forty students from various high schools including OLCHS, Reavis High School, Hancock High School, St. Gerald, Lincoln Way attended.

All proceeds will help fund transportation expenses for the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Post Prom Lake Michigan Cruise.
