OAK LAWN, IL — The Oak Lawn Community High School Drama Team hits the boards in “Little Shop of Horrors” Oct. 28, Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. All shows start at 7 p.m.

The Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical tells the story of meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn (played by Orlando Ramirez) stumbling across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" (played by Daniel Mietz, Fotis Patrianakos) after his coworker crush, Audrey (played by Layla Nemri). The foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it blood. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination.

“Our students in the cast, crew, and pit orchestra have been working diligently since August to put together this production, and they do not plan to disappoint,” director Jeff Pastiak said. “I am so grateful to be able to provide our community with a live musical this year. Our students, both on stage and behind the scenes, have made our Performing Arts Center a place to come together as a theater family. This show is the result of their positive energy and hard work.”
