OLCHS Seniors Offered Full Ride Scholarships Through QuestBridge
Oak Lawn Community High School students Indel Garcia and Hailey Kainrath offered four-year scholarships to Boston College.

OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn Community High School is excited to announce that students Indel Garcia and Hailey Kainrath have been offered full four-year scholarships to Boston College through QuestBridge College Match.
QuestBridge National College Match is a national program that connects high-achieving high school seniors with full four-year scholarships to top colleges. Out of over 16,500 applicants, QuestBridge selected 6,312 finalists to be considered for the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship. This year, QuestBridge’s 45 college partners matched with 1,674 finalists, who are recognized as Match Scholarship Recipients. Indel and Hailey are two of these finalists.
“Hailey is a student who can visualize a successful future for herself, demonstrates a high level of passion and determination in everything she does, and she always keeps a happy disposition and positive outlook on life,” OLCHS counselor Sue Szala said,
“I feel that Indel’s determination, individuality, ability to question and search for deeper meaning, and ability to overcome obstacles is what is going to make Indel extremely successful in college,” Szala added.

Match Scholarship Recipients are admitted early to QuestBridge college partners with full four-year scholarships that are provided by the colleges and universities, ensuring for these students and their families that an education at a top college can be affordable. The Match Scholarship is offered as part of a generous financial aid package provided by the college that covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, room and board, books and supplies, and travel expenses.
This year’s Match Scholarship Recipients come from 49 states. These outstanding high school seniors have an average unweighted GPA of 3.93, and 92-percent are in the top 10 percent of their graduating class.
“The entire Spartan community congratulates Indel and Hailey for their hard work on this glorious achievement and hope that the way ahead is even brighter with this scholarship being the foundation of their future success,” OLCHS principal Jeana Lietz said.
