OLHMS Hosts 10th Annual Variety Show Benefitting Cradles for Crayons
Students showcase cultural dances, skits, and comedy routines in the entertaining show for a good cause.

Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123's middle school, OLHMS hosted its 10th annual Variety Show on March 23rd, featuring talented students from all grade levels. The show included musical performances, cultural dances, skits, and comedy acts and was created by kids, and intended for kids.
"The Variety Show is an opportunity to showcase my skills and show people my culture so they can learn about it,"
said Emely, an 8th grade student.
"I absolutely love the Variety Show because everyone has a smile on their face, and it makes me feel good. My favorite part is seeing my mom smile in the audience."
Each year, the proceeds from the Variety Show go to a children's foundation of OLHMS students' choosing. In the past, OLHMS students have decided to donate proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House, Illinois Burn Camp for Children, Feed My Starving Children, Live Like Abby, and several other children organizations. This year, students selected Cradles for Crayons, an organization that helps children from birth through age 12 with everyday essentials.
