On His Game: Richards' Tommy Mister Presents a Dual Threat
Only a sophomore, Tommy Mister has taken over as Richards' quarterback in his first varsity season.
Richards coach Tony Sheehan knew he’d have a new quarterback in sophomore Tommy Mister coming into the 2011 season. But that didn’t stop him from having high expectations.
“We’re very excited about (Mister),” Sheehan said. “He’s very raw, only played the position for a year, but he’s very intelligent. He’s one of those kids who’s a gym rat.”
A dual-threat quarterback, Mister is proving to be a quick learner. Richards is 1-2 with him at the helm and Mister hasn’t been shy about putting the offense on his back. In Week 2, he passed for 124 yards and one touchdown in a 28-16 loss to Morris while running for another 130 yards.
