Parking Lot Sales Return This Fall At First Methodist Church

Take a break from the pandemic and visit the First United Methodist Church's parking lot sales Sept. 12, Sept. 26, Oct. 10 and Oct. 24.

OAK LAWN, IL — The First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn is back up and running after six months of closure due to the coronavirus shutdown. The church is welcoming back members next Sunday and once again the church parking lot at 100th Street and Central Avenue will be filled with vendors ready to peddle new and used, handmade and manufactured goods.

Parking lot sales will be held outdoors on four Saturdays over the next two months from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 12, Sept. 26, Oct. 10 and Oct. 24. Admission is free. The church will be following all state social distancing mandates and CDC guidelines. Visitors are respectfully asked to wear a face covering when on the property.

ADDED: Got something to sell? Show up at the church with your wares and treasures on the day of the sale. Pay a $10 fee for a space to set up shop. Bring your own table to set up your stuff.

On Sept. 26, the church will be sponsoring an indoor rummage sale in addition to the parking lot sale.
