Predicted Snowfall Triggers Oak Lawn Snow Parking Rules
Oak Lawn has suspended its 'chaotic' odd-even snow parking rules. Residents are to park off the street until snow removal is completed.
OAK LAWN, IL — A one-two punch of the season’s first significant snowfall will most likely mean that Oak Lawn’s snow parking rules will go into effect along designated snow routes. A winter weather advisory from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Snow is expected to start late Monday evening and continue through Tuesday morning. A second round of snow is predicted for Tuesday afternoon. The National Weather Service has estimated snowfall totals of between 2 and 5 inches to fall on the Chicago area.

The good news is that the village has suspended the odd/even parking ordinance because it was too chaotic. However, the village is asking all residents to utilize off-street parking to the greatest extent possible, until snow removal has been completed.
