Reavis Student ‘Cyberstalked’ By Burbank Man: Police
The 19-year-old man threatened to shoot a Reavis student and rape his sister in Snapchat messages, prosecutors said.

BURBANK, IL — A 19-year-old Burbank man is accused of sending threatening Snapchat messages to a 16-year-old Reavis High School student. Alaa Muzyed appeared before Cook County Judge John Mahoney on a felony charge of cyberstalking. The student claims he does not know Muzyed.
Around 12:40 p.m. Aug. 27, the student said he received Snapchat messages from a user who identified himself as “alaamuzyed.” The prosecutor said that Muzyed told the 16-year-old that he was sent by another 17-year-old Reavis student. Muzyed is also said to have sent a photo of himself pointing a pistol, threatening to shoot the 16-year-old and rape his sisters.
School administrators were notified of the threats, who contacted Burbank police. Muzyed turned himself into Burbank police on Aug. 28.
