Residents Robbed at Gunpoint in Burbank Residential Areas: COPS
Burbank police think two robberies that happened March 6 and March 7 may be connected.

BURBANK, IL -- The Burbank Police Department is investigating two armed robberies that occurred this week in residential areas, where the robber shoved a gun to the victims’ heads and demanded their money.
According to a police news release, the robberies took place Monday and Tuesday, March 6 and March 7. Police think both robberies may be connected because of the similarities in the suspect’s description and modus operandi.
The first incident happened March 6, around 1:23 p.m. in the 8300 block of Mansfield. Ave The second robbery occurred around 7:35 p.m. March 7 in the 7900 block of McVicker Avenue.

In both robberies, the victims told officers that a man approached them from behind, pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the their heads and demanded their money. Both victims complied with the robber’s demands and no one was hurt, police said.
The alleged robber is said to have fled both robberies in a light blue or green older model, 4-door car, possibly a Ford Taurus, with a very loud muffler.
