Natalie Brodsky to perform at festival sponsored by Illinois Theatre Association.

This weekend Richards High School junior Natalie Brodsky will perform in "Shrek the Musical" -- the all-state musical sponsored by the Illinois Theatre Association -- at the Illinois High School Theatre Festival hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Natalie, a choir student at Richards, auditioned to earn selection to the 2023 all-state musical. She has rehearsed for this role since last summer.

The all-state cast, crew, and pit orchestra are comprised of top student performers, musicians, and technicians from Illinois. Many students from across the state auditioned for Shrek with 125 selected for the final production from 60 high schools.
