Richards students volunteer at Gigi's Playhouse

Culinary Club volunteers in Tinley Park.

Richards High School students recently volunteered to lead a workshop on cooking for adults with Down syndrome at Gigi’s Playhouse in Tinley Park.

Gigi’s, with several locations in the Chicago area, provides free educational, therapeutic-based and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community, through a replicable playhouse model.

Richards culinary arts teacher Rob Staudacher brought students Jaycee Aggelopoulos, Breanna Swann, and Madison Webb to lead the cooking demonstration. The meal included pork tenderloin and an incredible Brussels sprouts sweet potato hash.
