Ridgeland School Dist. 122 Hiring Substitute Teachers

OAK LAWN, IL — Ridgeland School Dist. 122 looking to expand its cadre of substitute teachers in its five district grammar schools. Applications are now being accepted online.

Substitutes follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students, adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student, and supervise students in and out of the classroom. Long-term substitutes may be called upon to develop their own lesson plans.

The district is encompassed by four K-5 schools, including Harnew, Lieb, Columbus-Manor and Kolb, which also offers a preschool program, and Simmons Middle School, serving grades 6-8.

Substitutes that hold a professional educational license (PEL) will be paid $150 per day; applicants with a paraprofessional license or substitute certificate will be paid at the rate of $110 per day.
