Robbers Knock Employee In Head With Gun, Rob Gas Station: Cops

OAK LAWN, IL -- Two masked men made off with cash, cigarettes and cigars during an armed robbery of a gas station in Oak Lawn, police said. The robbery happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mobil gas station at 10240 S. Pulaski Road.

Police said the purported robbers entered the business where they knocked an employee in the head with a black semi-automatic handgun and ordered the employee to open the cash register. The two made the employee lie on the floor, where they proceeded to loot cash, multiple cartons of cigarettes and cigars. The suspects left the Mobil. There is no vehicle description at this time. The employee suffered a minor cut on the head but refused medical treatment.

Suspect #1 is described as a male black standing 5-feet-8-inches tall with a thin build. He was dressed all in black and wearing gloves and a ski mask. The second suspect is described as a male black with a thin build and 5-feet-10-inches tall. He was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, gloves and a ski mask.
