Run with the Bulldogs, support a great cause on Sept. 27

Registration open for Richards 5K that supports the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation

Richards High School will sponsor its fourth annual Running with the Bulldogs charity 5K run and one-mile walk on Sunday September 27. Registration has opened at the web site below.

Richards has donated more than $30,000 to POTCF the past three years.

This amazing charity provides free toys, clothing, and gift cards for children and teenagers in treatment for cancer. They’re about to open their 50th site.

“With each new location we pause to reflect on our phenomenal growth and acknowledge your continued support, knowing that more than 9,300 children and teens at 49 locations across 17 states and the District of Columbia are being comforted each month as they endure the hardships of cancer treatment,” said POTCF founder Colleen Kisel, who lives in Orland Park.

Kisel appears with Richards teacher and 5K organizer Bob Peck. They’re holding the shirt from last year’s event.
