Oak Lawn man told Evergreen Park cops he was unaware he was sitting on a bottle of hydrocodone in the drivers seat, prosecutor said.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- An Oak Lawn pulled over for an alleged seatbelt violation in Evergreen Park was arrested after police discovered he was sitting on a bottle of hydrocodone, prosecutors said. Jamie Lule, 25, appeared before Cook County Judge Michael Kane on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
According to the charges, police pulled Lule over around 7:46 p.m. July 31 when they noticed he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt around near 83rd Street and Lawndale Avenue. The prosecutor said Lule gave officers permission to search his vehicle. During the search police found a pill bottle with the label scraped off and 12 yellow pills of suspect hydrocodone. Lulu allegedly told police he didn’t know the pill bottle was in the car and was unaware that he had been sitting on it in the driver’s seat.
Bail was set at $5,000. The judge ordered random drug testing while the case is pending. Lule is due back in court Aug. 22 in Bridgeview.
