The Hickory Hills Street Fair, one of the Southland's best yearly events, covers both Saturday and Sunday with rides, music, food, beer and blocks of handmade arts.

4th of July begins early in the Southland with the Independence Day Parade in Midlothian planned for Saturday at 11 a.m.
