Name of the person who nominated the hero:

Bridget Stephenson

Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?:

Yes

What does the nominee do for work?:

She is an RN

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?

Gianna is a nurse on the telemetry floor at OSF-Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Evergreen Park that was partially converted into a COVID-19 unit and works 12-hour shifts in full gear caring for many sick patients. She is quarantined away from her family and friends in fear of passing anything to anyone that might become sick. So, outside work Gianna is getting through this as a strong young lady on her own. Gianna never hesitates to go into work to help and try to make a difference. She has a positive attitude and a big heart.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:

Gianna is the kindest and strongest person her age and will not let anyone or anything keep her down or hold her back.
