Senior Annette Gubala Leaves Legacy As Flyer For OLCHS Cheer Team
Annette Gubala soars to new heights with Oak Lawn Community High School competitive cheer team.

OAK LAWN, IL — For four years senior Annette Gubala tirelessly worked to improve her skills as a competitive cheerleader for Oak Lawn Community High School. She developed her tumbling skills, grew as a flyer and precision to her performance. Now in her fourth year on the varsity, Gubala became the point flyer for the Spartans and helped lead the team.
“Her exceptional tumbling skills have greatly improved throughout the years,” head coach Maria Vanderwarren said. “Her determination and hard work have accelerated her flying skills; Annette has become our point flyer. She has grown as both an individual and an athlete and continues to do what is needed to better the squad as a whole. Her performance on the mat is energetic and precise, and we are fortunate to have her as a part of our competition squad.”
