Shot Putter Mit Patel Unsung Hero Of Oak Lawn Boys Track

OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn Community High School shot putter Mit Patel does all the little things for the team. He works hard whether the coaches are looking or not. He puts in the extra work in the weight room and in the classroom. He is the “unsung hero” of the boys track team, and that effort has the coaches singing his praises.

“Mit’s contributions and dedication make him an invaluable member of the team,” OLCHS head coach John Jensen said. “His commitment to improvement in shot put and teamwork is truly commendable. Every practice, Mit gives it his all, constantly striving to better his technique and performance.

“His positive attitude and relentless work ethic serve as a source of inspiration for his teammates, in the weight room and the classroom. He understands the importance of balance and discipline, excelling both academically and athletically. His commitment, positivity, and unwavering support make him a true asset to our team.”
