'Snow Angels' Needed To Help Oak Lawn Seniors With Shoveling

High school or middle school students can earn community service hours by helping Oak Lawn's seniors with snow removal. Adults also welcome.

OAK LAWN, IL — If you’re a student looking for community service hours for school, the Village of Oak Lawn has a growing list of older residents who require some assistance shoveling snow. The village is looking to pair volunteers with one to two seniors this winter.

Volunteers will be matched with houses in their own neighborhoods. This would make a great service-hour activity for middle and high school students. Adult volunteers are welcome as well.

With a few more snow storms and frigid temperatures ahead of us, the village wants to take care of our seniors and disabled residents with snow removal this winter.
