Son Used Mom's Debit Card to Buy Stuff at Walgreens: Prosecutor
Judge tells Hometown man to stay away from his mother.

A Hometown man charged with making fraudulent purchases on his mother’s debit card was ordered to stay away from her.
Mark McCarthy, 45, was charged with unlawful possession of a debit/credit card.
Prosecutors said McCarthy used his mother’s debit card to make three purchases at Walgreen’s totaling $64.13 on March 18.

McCarthy served a concurrent sentence for possession of a controlled substance and armed robbery in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Prosecutors said McCarthy’s mother was in court seeking an order of protection against her son but McCarthy “disagreed.”

“I didn’t disagree with the order of protection,” McCarthy said.
Cook County Judge Peter Felice set bail at $75,000. He also ordered McCarthy to stay away from his mother.
McCarthy is due back in court April 12 in Bridgeview.
